DVD Resurrections was first created on
the 13th of January 2006 by owner
zer0hal0, with only a small community on
hand, reviewing rare films that have just
or haven’t ever been released on DVD.
Over the past few years of surfing the
net, we started to get sick and tired of
visiting other review websites that just
spun the same old bullshit across the net,
in different ways of the same form, but
most of all we got sick and tired of been
told what to do and say in the Message
Forums. So basically we all conjured
together and over the following months
online, and began sharing, discussing
what type of stuff we enjoy the most in
film.
Before you know it, we had a website up
and running, our review database began
to slowly fill up; filmmakers started
requesting us to review their films. Also
along the way we manage to attract the
attention of local and International
distributors such as independent
filmmaker J.R Bookwalter TempeDVD,

Madman Entertainment, Pop Cinema and Anthem Pictures just to name a few, which whom have
got a good taste of what we had to offer our daily readers and began supplying us with their
latest DVDs to review.
Only a few years have past and already DVD Resurrections is becoming very well known and slowly
rising from the ranks, hopefully one day this site will be a main focus for all movie lovers who enjoy
genres such as Horror, Cult, Asian, Erotica, Independent Cinema but most of all old 70’s and 80’s
roughies.
If you have read a few of our reviews you will notice we kind of follow a suit. Beginning the review
with a quick synopsis on the film, our thoughts on the filmmakers history an director skills, followed
up by the cast members performances in the film, the gore factor, score (soundtrack), DVD extras
and then lucky last our final thoughts on the film and if it is worth buying or renting.
The staff and I only believe that what you watch is what you are going to get, and we won’t hide
the fact if a film is shit, well we will just come out and tell you it is. Now take in mind every person
has different taste in film, take for me for example: I enjoy Independent cinema now days far more
than I enjoy watching a bigger budget film. So please be WARNED that some of the reviews you
will read, could can contain vulgar language, crude comments, spoilers and disturbing explicit
images that shouldn’t be viewed by any person under the age of 18. Though if you have a good
sense of humor and none of what I said above will bother you, then you are going to dig this site,
but if you are a church going person and find it offensive when you read the word (Fuck) then you
might want to check out another website that caters to all your film review needs.
