Synopsis:
Anthropologists take a trip to the jungles of Colombia to study native cannibals. Instead, they find a band of drug dealers, using the
natives to harvest the cocoa leaf. After awhile, the natives are tired of being tortured slaves, and turn on their masters, as well as the
anthropologists, thus filling the screen with gruesome splatter!

DVD Review - The Professional: Golgo 13

The Professional: Golgo 13’ is a remarkable film, which doesn’t hide
behind morality, nor does it remain ambiguous. In fact, the lead and
title character tends to be rather lacking in it, not being portrayed as a
criminal with a heart of gold, but more the Assassin..

Sometimes… just sometimes, even the stellar animated title menu of
this DVD (provided by ‘Madman Entertainment‘, and ‘The AV Channel’
in Region 4 format) has me pumping it up on screen. The catchy
music, the well integrated clips from the film. It may not ...

A group of close friends decide to spend the weekend out in the middle
of the woods in a remote cabin, as swilling back a few beers and
telling ghost stories would be a cool thing to do. That’s until one dark
cold night, Billy (Tim Jesiolowski) is was found...

This movie has much distinction behind it, one for being reputed the
first movie to be shot entirely behind a green screen and two . . . The
movie’s title and title character still have different names. Thought I had
better point that out now before people thought I was..

Execution is a fine thing, it can take many forms (of course I am
referring to the execution of story lines here… not people .Although I
guess you could make that analogy if you  prefer), and can make or
break, or simply file things under the cloth of mediocrity..

And actually the first of these benighted films to be made. This film was
the only reason for me to watch these real-world nightmares in the first
place, being based on the Feral House book Death Scenes, edited by
Katherine Dunn, a collection of 20s, 30s and 40s...

Well to begin with apart from anything else the title is misleading. Okay,
so you’re a true crime fan, with a penchant for the uber-weird, and you
want to find out some background story on Charlie and the bunch of
drug addled nutters and homicidal mentalists he hung..

Christ! And I thought these films couldn’t have gotten any worse.
Whereas the first of these assaults to the senses was an
inappreciable attack on the sensibilities in the guise of an exploration
of death in the 20th century, this film is little more than..

DVD Review - Purple Glow
September 4th, 2007 @ 9.28am
Purple Glow is a low budget sci-fi horror, and bears all the hallmarks of
that genre – fundamentally unlikeable characters, bad acting, feeble
plotline, laughable special effects, cliché set pieces – you know the
drill. A meteorite lands in the woods and a bunch of...
