Preston Rogers (Matt McCoy) and his wife used to rent out a cabin deep in the forest just near a mountain side which they both enjoy to climb
every year, until one terrible day Preston's wife falls 1000 feet to her death. Preston is given another chance at life, but this time he is now
unfortunately a wheelchair bound widower. Preston is sent back to the cabin by his therapist to try and overcome the trauma which happened to
him and his wife six months ago. Preston is also accompanied by a male nurse named Otis (Christien Tinsley), who is there to help him get over the
trauma. Things change for the worse when five young women who move into the next cabin straight across Preston's cabin and start throwing a
baccalaureate party. The loud music and the girls' screams and laughing attracts a monstrous, fifteen foot, bloodthirsty Yeti to their cabin. Preston
can get a bird's eye view of the girls' cabin and when he starts hearing weird noises, and seeing something moving around the shadows of the
woods, he grabs the binoculars and sees the giant hairy creature standing outside their cabin. Preston tries to ring them, but the Yeti has torn
down the telephone lines and starts to begin stalking the girls. Preston tries to tell Otis what's going on, but Otis doesn't believe him and then he
tries to put Preston out to sleep by injecting him with a needle. A scuffle breaks loose and Preston grabs jabs Otis in the neck with the needle,
which knocks him flat on his ass. Now Preston tries everything he possibly can do to save the girls from the creature attacking them, such as
e-mailing the police station which is 25 minutes away. He even tries screaming out to the girls, but they can't hear him due to the loud music
playing. All he can do is sit and watch the Yeti, stalk and kill them one by one from his own cabin, knowing sooner or later it will come for him...

From time to time we get films from the independent side of cinema, but finally we have another great indie film that everyone can enjoy called
Abominable. It's written and directed by a film maker called Ryan Schifrin, and man, this movie was off the fucking wall. Now when you think of a
Yeti (bigfoot), straight away that comes to mind is the movie
Harry and the Hendersons right? Well Ryan Schifrin's Abominable will leave you
breathless and blown away and wanting more and more with a well written script and outstanding cast that was highly entertaining right
thoughout the whole entire film.

There was also a good amount of familiar faces in Schifrin's
Abominable. Such as well known actors Dee Wallace Stone (Cujo, The Plague,
Headspace
), Matt McCoy (Police Academy 6, National Security), Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Hellraiser: Hellworld), Jeffrey Combs (ReAnimator
series,
Necronomicon: Book of Dead), and not to mention the beautiful starlet Tiffany Shepis (Dorm of the Dead, Detour) all give awesome
performances in the film. The monstrous Yeti is  played by Michael Deak, who also gives a solid performance, and man I haven't yet begun
mentioning the special effects in this film.  I have two words for you: FUCK YEAH. Gorehounds will get everything they ever wanted and a whole lot
more when viewing this movie! You get to see a dead horse with its throat and stomach ripped out, a women laying on the floor gasping for her
last bit of air while her intestines are falling out on the floor, a guys whole entire face bitten off like it was a apple...shit, I could go on and on.

Ryan Schifrin's
Abominable is well worth adding to your collecting or renting one night if you haven't got anything else to watch. The story is
awesome and so is the acting.
Abominable no doubt gets two thumbs up from me. So next time you're out and about keep a eye out for this baby,
it will make you think twice about camping in the woods.

names; Yeti, Sasquatch and the infamous Bigfoot! We've hunted it for years, but what happens when it
decides to hunt us? "Abominable" centers on a man recovering from a mountain climbing accident,
trapped in a remote cabin in the woods, who sees the legendary beast, and must convince someone to
believe him, before the monster goes on a bloody rampage.
