Chase (Brady Debussey) is a burnt-out ex cop now turned private eye detective who has just been hired by a doctor named Witman (Paul
Woodard) to track down and keep a close eye on his fellow lab assistant Dawn (Audrey Street) and try retrieve back what is his. It turns out that
Dawn has stolen the doctor’s documents and a highly secret formula which is able to reanimate a dead corpse and bringing it back to life. But sadly
the corpses brought back are hungry for human blood and must feed daily just to survive, while being injected with the serum weekly. A few days
on the case Chase realizes that Dawn is just not the doctor’s lab assistant; she is also a street corner prostitute, who lures her clients into
thinking they are going to be seduced, but instead she viciously slaughters them and drains them of their blood. Dawn will do anything to keep the
formula to herself, even if it means reanimating other dead corpses to fight off Chase.
In 1994 independent filmmaker Hugh Gallagher was set out to create a low budget film that any H.P. Lovecraft fan that would get there rocks off
watching, this film was called Gore Whore. With a title of a movie called Gore Whore, it leaves you wondering if there’s going to be any gore and
sex; well I have to say some scenes can be pretty graphic in both cases. This film might not have a high budget like Stuart Gordon’s Re-Animator
series, but it certainly has a fair amount of explicit full-frontal nudity, and the kill scenes to be extremely grotesque in a sexual nature. When
watching Gore Whore you can definitely feel the independent atmosphere right throughout the movie, it is shot fairly roughly and either though it
has plenty of nudity scenes which contain male and female genitalia it can come across as an erotic version of Re-Animator. Just like the
Re-Animator series you have that wonderful green ooze, Gore Whore uses the same kind of storyline, but instead injecting the ooze into a body
part, Dawn attaches the syringe into a black dildo and then jams it into herself, and injects the ooze into her twat, like if someone was ejaculating
inside her. But when it comes to reanimating a male corpse, well she just rams it into there ass to bring them back. Fucks me why Hugh Gallagher
came up with this idea for his movie, but it was certainly fresh, and at times I found it exciting to watch, and other times I found myself clenching
my ass cheeks together.
Actress Audrey Street does hold up pretty well in Gore Whore, even though it’s good to see a woman not afraid to get butt naked in front of a
camera, and sit legs spread showing off her pinks bits for us all to get a quick thrill. Sadly it really does save the film that much, every time I seen
Miss Street naked, all I could keep thinking was how both of her nipples were kind of cross eyed (pointing inwards) looking, which kind of freaked
me out but good for a little chuckle here and there. Gore Whore was Miss Streets first film, and by the looks of things it was her last. Actor Brady
Debussey did do a pretty good job with his character but it’s really nothing to get really excited about to tell you the truth.
The gore factor was pretty good, either though you have to have the stomach for indie special effects, but a lot of the props were infact chewed up
looking dildos and lots of that yummy corn syrup. You get to see a Dawn performing oral sex on a guy and castrate him with her teeth, some red
neck jerking off too hard and ripping his dick off, a housewife experiencing her lesbian tendencies for the first time but instead she gets a date with
the butcher knife, a couple beheadings, impalement and death by an axe scene. Honestly I got to give kudos to the special effects team for doing
an awesome job on Gore Whore especially which what budget they only had to play with.
The T&A (tits and ass) factor a couple of kudos also. You get to see plenty of nice gash shots from time to time, full body nudity not just from
actress Street, but also 3 other actresses. A couple show scenes, a good fun time in the local graveyard with a black dildo, a strip tease and not to
mention 2 cock scenes. And you can never get enough nudity scenes in a movie, isn’t that right guys.
Gore Whore hasn't made its way to DVD, but if you look through your local video stores you might be able to pick up this wonderful indie gem in a
bargain bin, or even still for rent. If no luck there, well then you can probably pick up a bootleg off some website around the net. I hope one day a
company will be able to pick up this title and give it a chance, it’s a film I thoroughly enjoyed watching and the best 72 minutes I have ever wasted
on a quiet weekend.
