Slime City
Alex (Robert C. Sabin) is a young artist who is looking for an apartment with his
beautiful girlfriend Lori (Mary Huner); they end up getting a sweet deal which in no time
at all he quickly moves into the affordable, clean apartment. Alex is now all set; he
finally has a nice apartment to work in and is close by his Lori's house and, only a few
blocks from the video store where he works. He then meets the other tenants in the
building, right next door to him he has a gothic sex crazed hooker called Nicole (who is
also played by Mary Huner) and the tenant below him a punk called Roman (Dennis
Embry) who not long after invites Alex over for a dinner at his place. Roman serves
Alex a strange green slime jello which he calls “
Himalayan Yogurt”, Alex not being
rude gives it a taste test, which it passes and beings to chow into it. Its not long after,
Alex goes back home and he starts to experiences strange side effects that was
caused by the green slimy goo Roman gave him, his skin starts to melt, bubble and
slime beings to sweat from his pores causing him to look like a deformed slimy
homicidal monster who has only one urge, and that is to kill, kill, kill, which then
transfers Alex back into human form again. Later on in the movie we then find out that
the reason the landlord gave Alex the apartment, and it was to resurrect her father who
used to be a cult leader Zachary (Daniel Frye) and all the tenants living in the building
are is former followers who have also been resurrected from the slimy goo, which
Zachary made before him and his followers who committed mass suicide years before.
Alex tries to fight off Zachary from possessing his body and also tries to hide the side
effects by wrapping himself in bandages so people can't see his disfigured face while
walking the streets of New York. Sooner or later he becomes possessed and the killer
instincts of Zachary comes into play, and he then becomes a brutal killing machine
dripping with ooze and doesn't stop killing homeless bums, hookers, gangsters and
until turning those close by him. Can Alex overcome Zachary murderous urges or
Zachary will possess his body forever.

Slime City is a low budget ooze fest that was shot directly on film, and is directed and
written by Greg Lamberson who i have never heard or seen Slime City until now.
Slime City was Greg Lamberson's first ever feature film and man does this film leave
you sick in the guts. The special effects artists Scott Coulter and Tom Lauten did a
fucking awesome in Slime City, both guys have also worked on films such as Street
Trash and The Toxic Avenger, and they're work on Slime City was just as sick as those
2 films. I can handle watching zombies or cannibals rip apart people or furry little
animals and would not faze me one fucking bit. But some of the scenes in Slime City,
man it will make you cringe in your seat while your gut roll, the scene when Alex starts
to transform into the slimy deformed Zachary, his skin starts to sweat this yellow slime
pus that's kinda looks like gonorrhea, just dips out of his skins pores and straight onto
the floor, trust me it will turn you off eating custard for life "
just check out the pictures on
the left
". Also the death scenes are wild, Alex smashes the head in of a homeless bum
with a lead pipe, a gangster who tries to mug him stabs Alex in the stomach with his
Rambo knife while his arm gets caught swallowed and devoured, and the ending which
is the goriest scene of them all which i wont tell you much about it, but it does contains
a lot of blood, pus, ooze and several limbs amputated by a meat cleaver.

Naked Fear

Slime City is also jam packed with extras you have a full length bonus feature film
called Naked Fear which was also written and directed by Greg Lamberson in 1999.
Both films "Slime City, Naked Fear" from Greg Lamberson have audio commentaries,
the Making Slime which is about a look back to the special effects and behind the
scenes of Slime City, Shock-O-Rama - A year of shocks where you will see other
actors from other Shock-O-Rama films at Horror Conventions and that. And not to
mention a good handful of Retro Shock Trailers that will give you a good idea what
other fantastic titles Shock-O-Rama have got install for you.

Those who would like to know a little about Naked Fear, well its roughly about man
called Camden (Robert C. Sabin) who suffers from agoraphobia (the fear of open
spaces), where he is confined to his apartment due to a childhood trauma that
happened 10 years ago when a street thug who point blank and shot dead his
Camdens parents after he steals his fathers wallet just step 2 feet out of there front
door. He then seeks a room mate Randy (Tommy Sweeney) who suffers from
claustrophobia, to keep him company. Camden soon catches on that there more to
Randy and realizes his room mate is a psychopathic killer, who walks the street killing
hookers, pimps and lawyers cause there the scum of the earth. He also tries to kill
Camden's girlfriend Julie (Peggy Crow) cause Randy believes chicks are great as long
as you keep them in line, but friends are forever.

Naked Fear was shot on video and isn't as gory or vile as Slime City, but still not too
bad to check out, the acting in Naked Fear was a tad bit better, but personally i rather
Slime City than Naked Fear, but you can't whine about this package. Gorefans will
enjoy every drop of Slime City and if you can't handle the slime well you have Naked
Fear to fall back on. Just a warning though Slime City is movie, that will leave you dry
reaching every time you think about it.
