SMALLVILLE: THE COMPLETE EIGHT SEASON (DVD + BLU-RAY) 2009 | USA | MA15+ | WARNER HOME VIDEO
Another season of Smallville means more exciting new characters, adventure and conflict, as the longest running “Superman” TV series continues to deliver great entertainment with the release of Smallville: The Complete Eighth Season on DVD and Blu-ray this 31 March 2010. Fans will be thrilled with this multi-disc set with all 22 episodes of the eighth season, plus amazing bonus features, including unaired scenes, cast & crew commentaries, and several never-before-seen featurettes including “Smallville’s Doomsday: The Making of a Monster.” The six-disc DVD set is priced at $59.95, and the four-disc Blu-ray set is priced at $79.95.
In Season Eight – starring Tom Welling, Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore, Cassidy Freeman, Sam Witwer and Justin Hartley – there’s a new reporter at the Daily Planet: Clark Kent, who shares a workspace with Lois Lane. There’s a new hero in Metropolis, too. No one knows who he is. But Jimmy Olsen was on the scene of one of the do- gooder’s exploits, and he snapped a blurred photo of the hero in super- speed action – a hero everyone now calls the Red-Blue Blur.
Red-jacketed, blue-shirted Clark Kent draws closer to his Superman destiny and another Kryptonian destiny also takes shape as Davis Bloome begins to realise he is Doomsday. His mission on Earth: kill Clark Kent. So many new events (will Jimmy and Chloe’s marriage last?), so many new faces (Tess Mercer, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy among them!), so many state-of-the-art effects – don’t miss a single thrill-packed moment!
“Smallville is the longest running live-action ‘Superman’ TV series, a testament to its popularity and loyal fan base,” said Caroline Skillen, Warner Home Video Australia’s Group Marketing Manager. “This is one of the most memorable shows on TV and a must-have on DVD.
Smallville was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, and is based on DC Comics characters. CHUCK: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (DVD + BLU-RAY) 2009 | USA | M | WARNER HOME VIDEO
The government’s most vital secret agent is back, and this time he’s got a pocket protector full of new tricks when Warner Home Video releases Chuck: The Complete Second Season on DVD and Blu-ray on 31 March, 2010. Executive producers Josh Schwartz (The O.C., Gossip Girl), McG (Supernatural, Charlie’s Angels), Chris Fedak and Scott Rosenbaum (The Shield) bring you more action and espionage than ever before. This six- disc set contains all 22 episodes including hours of amazing extras, with brand-new featurettes, a gag reel and “declassified” scenes.
Nominated for a 2008 People’s Choice Award, the series stars Zachary Levi (Less Than Perfect), Yvonne Strahovski (The Plex), Joshua Gomez (Without A Trace), Ryan McPartlin (Living with Fran), Mark Christopher Lawrence (The Pursuit of Happyness), Vik Sahay (This Is Wonderland), Scott Krinsky (The O.C.) with Sarah Lancaster (Everwood) and Adam Baldwin (Serenity, Firefly) and is produced by College Hill Pictures, Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series was created by Schwartz and Fedak.
This season, Chuck is in luck: The government’s new Intersect II is ready for espionage service. And that means the old Intersect (Chuck) can go back to his old life. But if Chuck goes, he’s gone: Casey has orders to off him. In this series, named one of Time’s 10 Best of 2008, Chuck survives to battle perilous plots, enemy agents and Buy More’s obnoxious new assistant manager, Emmett Milbarge (recurring guest star Tony Hale, Arrested Development), in the comedy- and action-packed Season Two. Here’s some of what’s up: Sarah’s past is revealed, Morgan almost becomes mature and Captain Awesome and Ellie plan the Big Day. Plus our unlikely hero rockets into more non-stop butt-kicking, techno- gadgeting, Chuck-dangling-several-stories-above-the-pavement action…as long as no one needs help setting up e-mail!
“Chuck is one of those rare shows that instantly grabbed a loyal following of viewers drawn to the action, quirky comedy, love story and reluctant- hero lead character,” said Caroline Skillen, Warner Home Video’s Group Marketing Manager. “Chuck: The Complete Second Season is a must-own season of television.”

THE INFORMANT! (DVD + BLU-RAY) 2009 | USA | M | WARNER HOME VIDEO
Based on a tattle-tale, The Informant! arrives on DVD and Blu-ray 7 April, 2010 from Warner Home Video. Matt Damon stars in this true story about an over-eager corporate executive turned FBI informant whose ever- changing account of the situation makes it almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of his active imagination.
What was Mark Whitacre thinking? A rising star at agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Whitacre (Matt Damon) suddenly turns whistleblower. Even as he exposes his company's multi-national price- fixing conspiracy to the FBI, Whitacre envisions himself being hailed as a hero of the common man and handed a promotion. However, before all that can happen, the FBI needs evidence, so Whitacre eagerly agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase, imagining himself as a kind of de facto secret agent.
Unfortunately for the FBI, their lead witness hasn't been quite so forthcoming about helping himself to the corporate coffers. Whitacre's ever-changing account frustrates the agents (Scott Bakula and Joel McHale) and threatens the case against ADM as it becomes almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of Whitacre's active imagination.
From Academy Award® winning director, Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13, Traffic, Erin Brockovich), The Informant! stars Academy Award® winner Matt Damon (Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13, The Bourne Identity, The Departed), Golden Globe™ winner Scott Bakula (TV’s Men of a Certain Age, Quantum Leap), Joel McHale (TV’s The Soup, TV’s Community) and Melanie Lynskey (Up in the Air, TV’s Two and a Half Men).
The Informant! will be available on DVD for $39.95 and on Blu-ray for $49.95 from 7 April 2010.
The Informant! will also be available to buy on 7 April 2010 as a Digital Download from digital movie retailers. It will also be available to rent ON DEMAND through internet movie retailers and a games console.
