Lucifer Valentine Interview
Interviewed date unknown

Lucifer Valenine is a master of the mystic art of self promotion, actually I would say that he
has a black belt in it. He hit all the horror website's forums in November of 2005 with balls
bigger than the moon, pushing his independent flick 'Slaughtered Vomit Dolls' and defending
it against the critics, who, had not seen the movie, but pre-decided that they would not like
it. Sure, creating a tiny niche within the horror genre that deals with gore, vomit and the
degradation of women may not be to everyones liking, but hell, to each his own.

On the surface, Slaughtered Vomit Dolls may seem like an excuse to show naked chicks
getting hacked up and covered in spew, but after this, and other discussions with Valentine, I
discovered that there is so much more to his film, and that the man himself is more than just
a gore hound,  but a careful and articulate film maker, who has a definite reason for
everything he films. This one man band gave me an opportunity within his busy schedule to
answer a few questions before the release of Slaughtered Vomit Dolls on DVD on the 14th
February 2006, or as he likes to call it, Lucifer Valentine's Day...

So, Lucifer, where are you from?

I was born in Arniston, South Africa; ironically, not unlike the story in the movie Mean Girls, my parents are researchers and
were there studying, although, in my case, their studies were in terrestrial invertebrates (bugs: like spiders, moths, beetles
etc). I moved many, many times in my life, and have lived in several different countries, however, I made a lot of friends
involved in the movie industry in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, where my partner, Nobody and I have our production
company Kingdom of Hell Productions Inc., although I do not actually live in Vancouver, I go there every six weeks to shoot.

Was Lucifer Valentine your born name, or have you had it changed?

Lucifer Valentine is the name I gave to the supporting character, played by me, in Slaughtered Vomit Dolls, to Ameara’s LaVey’s
lead. I directed Ameara to treat Lucifer Valentine the same way a child treats an "imaginary friend" that they make up as a
companion to replace something that they have lost or is MISSING from their lives, which also represents the onset of children's
construction of out of body selves and/or, in extreme cases of abuse, other or multiple personalities. So Lucifer Valentine is the
name a child gives to the painful sadness that is making them float away from this world, and disassociate their minds and
bodies from their Hellish developmental existence on Earth.

What or who influenced you to become a film maker? Are you involved in any other artistic pursuits?

I guess my own imagination when I was twelve years old caused me to become a film maker, cuz I just remember being
imprinted, entranced, fascinated and obsessed with all the movies I first saw ever, and I pretty much never stopped being
fascinated. Movies like Guinea Pig , Man Behind the Sun , Nekromantik , Joe Spinell’s Maniac , Bloodsucking Freaks , Salo ,
Eraserhead , Manbitesdog , Blood Feast , Blue Velvet , Faces/Traces of Death are where I started I guess, and there was
something indescribable about these movies that made me watch them over and over again, and I absolutely knew that I’d be
making my own form of Extreme Underground Cinema at some point, cuz I related to it so strongly.

Where is your company Kingdom of Hell Productions based, and give a brief history its evolution?

Kingdom Of Hell Productions Inc. is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Basically, my pal Nobody and I have been
friends for several years and we’d talk about our ideas and sensibilities regarding movies, and we just really enjoyed the
conversations so much that we both knew it was just a matter of time before we did a project together. I made SLAUGHTERED
VOMIT DOLLS on my own and edited it and did all the post production in several different hotel rooms all over the world, but,
when I brought my movie back to North America and showed it to Nobody, he LOVED it and wanted to be my partner and be in
business so we formed our company!!

Where did the ideas for Slaughtered Vomit Dolls come from?

Well, I am obsessed with Carl Jung’s theory of Synchronicity : this theory postulates that if there are enough so-called
coincidences, that at first seem to be "acausal", or meaningless, but are all piled up on each other, and are all tangled up in some
kind of progression of a narrative, although at first seemingly unrelated and fragmented -- they can create a snowball effect of
exponential coincidental meaning, and when these coincidences surround an event or a related series of events, they can surpass
the "threshold of coincidence",  and can reveal a much deeper, profound, beautiful, transcendent meaning.

I was in Seattle, Washington visiting friends and I had occasion to walk past Kurt Cobain’s house after he died. I have LOVED
Kurt Cobain and Nirvana and the Melvins ever since I heard the song “Negative Creep”. And I was pretty overcome with emotion
as I stood there on the street looking at Cobain’s house, and I was in an awestruck state of dark sadness, yet I felt Cobain’s
presence and it was beautiful and sublime. I couldn’t feel my legs, I felt numb, like I was going to float away or fall through the
Earth, and I just stood there, then my cell phone rang and it was my girlfriend Ameara LaVey ! She said, “Hey Baby, how are
ya?” And I said, “We’re going to make a movie about a dimension of the parapsychological synchronistic events that took place
during the Last Six Days of Kurt Cobain’s Life.” And she said, “Great! Wow, that sounds pretty wild, when are you coming
home?”

So, we went about shooting SLAUGHTERED VOMIT DOLLS, and it is the depiction of the Death of a bulimic girl named Angela
Aberdeen, and what led up to her suicide during the EXACT SAME TIME period as Kurt Cobain's Suicide.

When did you discover your love for vomit?

I was staying in Finland for a time and I was shown a TON of uncensored Max Hardcore videos. I remember seeing two girls deep
throat Max Hardcore’s cock until they puked all over it, then allowed him to “puke fuck” them; they would let Max use their
puke that was all over his cock as lubrication so he could fuck them in the ass. I remember really liking this a lot, and I thought
it looked like people from another planet, or parallel dimension of humans that LOOK exactly the way we do, but do not
function sexually or emotionally as we Earthlings do, we just share a similar atmosphere and body structure!

How long did the various aspects of the production take?

Shooting the movie took six months, and post production another six.

Where did you meet Ameara Le Vey, does she share your emetophilism?

I met Ameara through friends at parties in Vancouver, and we always just kept meeting up in a corner of a room somewhere and
talking and I thought she was so sweet. She kept asking me out on dates, and at first I didn’t even really notice that she liked
me, then we went out and we became inseparable and had very intense and beautiful relationship. Ameare enjoyed doing
emtophilic stuff with me cuz I was so incredibly into it, and she wanted to make me happy. Emetophilia wouldn’t have been on
Ameara’s list of “Things I Need To Try” if it wasn’t for me. But, I have to say, that she never wimped out on me EVER and we
always had a great time together !! Ameara has a new boyfriend now, and they don’t do any puke stuff at all. How Romantic.

You managed to get all of your female cast naked, were they professionals or friends?

They were friends AND professionals!! Just not professional conventional actors!! Pam, the one-armed gal who played “Princess”
did not get naked though. Pam and Miss Pussy Pants, the gal who gets her throat slit are pals of mine and are NOT hardcore porn
actors and/or strippers, the other female actors are.

How did you convince all these people to vomit in the movie?

Well, I didn’t have to convince them, all the actors are friends of mine, and they know that I LOVE PUKE, so they just told me
at the very beginning if they’d be inclined to Vomit or not, and if they didn’t want to, No Problem!! Some do and some don’t.

Any difficulties, other than cleaning up, with the production?

Hahahaha!! Actually, no just the clean up!! Oh my god, me and a great friend of mine would routinely be up till sunrise mopping
up three inches of blood and puke off the floor of the warehouse in which we shot all the Vomit Gore scenes. Man, we had A
LAKE of puke and blood every time to mop up!! Aint life grand !!!

What are your thoughts on the current state of both the mainstream and indie horror industry. Who do you see as the
future shining lights of cinema?

Well, I have no interest really in mainstream horror movies, so my mind just kinda goes blank if I try to come up with a thought
there . . . With independent and/or Underground/Extreme horror, I feel like this is a very vibrant, lively point in time when
anything is possible. I feel great about the future of Underground Cinema cuz of the immediacy of an audience and feedback due
to the Internet as a venue!! I just love how you can spread the word to the entire world in a matter of a few weeks about a
movie that is extreme and obscure, and would otherwise possibly never see the light of day or get much exposure at all.

So what is next for Lucifer Valentine and KoH Productions?

I am half way done my second Vomit Gore movie !! I will do another one after that cuz I am making a Vomit Gore Trilogy !!
Then, I have another Trilogy in mind, but it’s a secret for now.

Thanks, Lucifer, for your time, and we wish your good luck in your future ventures.
