Listen up maggots. Today at DVD Resurrections we got a chance to engage an interview with
HORROR PORN LEGEND Rob Rotten. Rob's latest film is one of the most sickest, horror, porno
on the face of this fucked up decaying planet, this movie is called "Porn Of The Dead" and it
has finally been released on DVD over the internet at Punx Productions. Porn Of The Dead is a
gore hound, zombie and porn fan's sickest dream cum true.
Rob Rotten we are honoured to finally chat with the man who just released the ultimate,
sickest, horror porno on the net "Porn Of The Dead". So can you tell us a little bit about
yourself for those who don't know who you really are and what is it that you do man?
Well thanks for hooking up this interview man, that rules. Well I have been in porn for over 6
years now, both on the performing and directing side of the biz. I have had numerous
nominations for performing and directing, so the biz has treated me great. I live in San
Francisco, Ca and shoot most of my movies in LA. Umm yea...

On your myspace site it says you're only 24yrs old, what age did you start in the adult entertainment industry and is it true
you started off as a performer?
Yeah I am 24, 25 at the end of August. I fell into the biz only 4 days after my 18th birthday. Total luck... Yeah, I started out as a
performer shooting my first movie when i was 19 with Jim Powers. The movie was called Little Runaway and won a bunch of
awards and was nominated numerous times by AVN. I have performed in well over 400 movies so far, but now I mainly just
perform in my own Punx Productions movies.
What or who influenced you the most to become a film maker?
Well I have been trying to make movies ever since I was just a little kid. In fact the way i got into the biz was that I was filming
a friends band in LA and there was another guy filming a band there too. We started talking and he told me that he filmed porn.
Totally joking around, I was like dude put me in a movie... And well he did, actually 5 and I have been doing it ever since... The
funny thing is that the guy who got me in the biz was Jim Powers, the same guy I co directed Little Runaway and the same guy
who shoots camera for me to this day... I would have to say Russ Myer is really a huge influence on me."
Are you also involved in any other artistic pursuits right now?
I have been in many shitty little bands, but I never have enough time to put into them... These movies really take up all of my
time."
Can you tells us a little bit about your company Punx Productions?
Yeah totally. Punx Productions is my company and we work as sub contractors to a lot of larger companies. We do everything in
house and are able to give the company's a finished product. Everything from writing to box covers... All of my movies are
done through Punx Productions. Its really cool because this allows me to have most of the creative control of the movies. The
Punx Productions website, www.PunxProductions.com, is really cool, its all free and lets people check out everything from
the chicks that i have shot to the production stills from all of my movies.
What made you to make a movie that is a combination of horror and porn, and are you a fan of horror at all?
I have always liked horror, gore, and zombie movies and I really wanted to mix the 2 worlds together, making a porn with
zombies, great gore, and crazy sex... Well finally I wrote Porn of the Dead and pitched it to Metro. To my surprise they loved it
and I began shooting Porn of the Dead that next month.
What horror films inspired you to do Porn of The Dead?
There was a lot of them and I sure that any one who likes horror, gore, and zombie movies will be able to pick them out as they
watch the scenes in Porn of the Dead.
What are your thoughts on the 70's roughies like Forced Entry and Hardgore?
I think its really sad that the porn biz has gone so down hill since the 70's. Porn in general is really just a bunch of shitty films
with sex... I am really trying to make great movies and amazing sex hoping to rebound the biz a little, I dunno...
How long roughly did it take you to make Porn Of The Dead?
Porn of the Dead was shot in only 2 days. Post production took about three weeks and then was dragged onto about a year to do
re-edits.
Did you find it hard casting for these particular roles as apart from the before mentioned roughies, Horror porn is
generally a new genre?
Yeah, it was kinda tough, a lot of adult performers are really not into being covered in blood or spending hours getting the SFX
make-up on. Luckily I was able to pull together a top notch group of amazing performers who did spend hours in make-up and
were covered in blood.
Your production company is called Punx Productions, did you utilize any actual old school punk rock in Fuck The System
and why go for Death Metal in Porn of the Dead or does the Punx Productions cover your work ethos?
Yeah Punx Productions does a lot of music tie ins in our movies. Starting back with Little Runaway, DI, The US Bombs, The
Stitches, The Lower Class Brats, and The Sick were on the sound track and some of them played live in the movie. Fuck the
System was packed with music and the DVD is even packaged with a free CD sampler featuring one song from each of the 12
bands on the soundtrack including Rancid. Porn of the Dead needed death metal. I am a huge death metal fan and knew which
bands i wanted right away. I contacted the bands and the labels and was able to pull together the most amazing ,all death metal
soundtrack ever. Featuring Deicide, Blood Red Throne, Decapitated, Exmortem, and Impailed... Truely fucking amazing... Once
you see Porn of the Dead you will understand why I went with an all death metal soundtrack.
What are your thoughts on the current state of the mainstream porn industry?
Its really the shits... There are very few people actually doing cool stuff... This new alt porn thing is so fucking gay. I have
always hated the way porn is such an assembly line making the same shit over and over again. Now alt porn is nothing more than
a new assembly line... It sucks because some of it could have been cool, but its to commercialized now, its really just a bunch
of crap... Thats why Punx Productions and I have been trying hard to mix things up a lot, but still giving our loyal viewers high
quality movies.
Do you see your film maybe starting a new genre of horror porn?
Yes. The weird thing about porn is that it cannibalizes itself. Its seems like every time someone comes up with a fresh new idea
and the movie does great. These people quickly try to make cheap knock-offs hoping to leach off some of the sales. Its really
gay. lol .
Have you received any shit for your combination of Sex and Violence from anyone or other production company's?
Yes, I had a hell of a time with Metro trying to get Porn of the Dead into stores. I took almost a year of meetings and re-edits,
but in the end i was very happy with the final cut.
Did you set out to be a porn director or purely use porn to raise money for bigger ventures?
No way, I love porn. I am not trying to get out or move onto anything else. I am trying to make changes in the biz to make it
better. I have turned down offers to direct small independent horror films, but really like where i am at in this biz. I would take
a mainstream gig, if it was the right one, but i would never turn my back on porn.
Are you a fan of people like Max Hardcore and Rob Black, if so what are your thoughts on them & there films?
Nope, they are cool guys, but I am not interested in what they doing.
Did you have any problems on or off set, if so what happened?
In regards to what? Fans? People that hate me? I have gotten quite a few death threats mailed to me, but they are all a bunch of
bull shit.
Rob are you happy with the final outcome of your film?
Yes, I am always happy with the out come of all of my movies. I put a lot of time into them and make them the best that I can.
If there was anything you'd like to change to your films, what would you like to do & why?
Well just like most directors, I would have liked to have less censorship, but none the less , I am happy with Porn of the Dead.
Will we see a Porn of the Dead 2 in the near future, or anything else to do with Horror?
Oh yeah I cannot wait to shoot the second one, but it wont be for a while.
