Independent filmmaker Gary Ugarek has recently announced today, that he has just
uploaded his latest film "Deadlands 2: Trapped" (
review) to the Internet for absolutely
FREE to download through the Rapidshare website.

Prior to Ugarek releasing his film to the public for FREE, he states that thousands of
Torrent users were already sharing his new film Deadlands 2: Trapped. The reason why
Ugarek is now allowing people to download his film for FREE is to "Raise Awareness" of
his new film.

"All I am doing is raising awareness about the movie. Love it or hate it... You never
get to see a director upload his own film for download. Sure the makers of INK
embraced the pirated version, but they didn't upload it themselves... so I am taking
it a step further."

To do this is a very ballsy move by this filmmaker to have release his film for FREE.
Most filmmakers would spit the dummy, threaten to sue or get to the point they go
postal on everyone in sight. Instead Ugarek takes it on the chin, accepts the fact since
there are file sharing websites around on the net, their is really no way of stopping
Internet piracy.

The only thing Ugarek asks, is if you download the film, you have the option to make a
small donation as small as just $1 or more, through his website to help him raise money
for his next upcoming project Deadlands 3. But a donation is not really required.

To download Ugarek's latest film just go to the official Deadlands website at
http://www.playingwithdeadthings.com/deadlands2-trapped-thedvd.html and click on
the following Rapidshare links.

Deadlands 2: Trapped fans can also buy the retail versions of film on DVD and HD DVD
also through the official website, which both contains tonnes of interesting extras.
