If you're a wrestling fan you know the drill by now. The monthly Pay Per View where
all the feuds, rivalries and assorted plot threads come to a head. Where friends
become enemies and enemies become allies.

Slammiversary is one of TNA's biggest events of the year so the stakes are higher and
the matches more elaborate than usual. Who will double cross who, who will walk out
with the gold, and who will end up out of a job?

The DVD certainly looks good and captures the action brilliantly. There's no real
surprises, but given what you're watching, do you really expect any?

Professionally and service ably done. This is a wrestling DVD, not the place to look for
anything new or innovative. It's well done for what it is though.

Not a lot by way of extras. Some interviews and another bad music video. This is one
of the few places TNA falls behind the WWE for me, they need to add more good
extras to their DVDs.

TNA has come a long way from its start when it didn't even have a TV show, just a
weekly PPV sold for under $10 and a cast of mostly unknowns mixed with past their
prime veterans. However they quickly learned to spot the best of the up and coming
generation of wrestlers and to capitalize on WWE's mistakes in discarding excellent
talent, especially Raven. And this disc shows just what they are capable of now.

The matches are fast paced and well set up. For those not familiar with TNA and its
storylines there's a brief recap before each match to get you up to speed.

Many of the outings this time pit veterans against up and coming talent with great
results especially Sting vs Matt Morgan, (another WWE discard they've made great use
of), and a World Title “King of the Mountain” match that features Mick Foley, Kurt
Angle, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

And while there were a few moments that made me roll my eyes, (one in particular
that involved somebody having to hold a very contrived position for ages), overall the
action is much better than that of the average WWE event. I should also add TNA's use
of a six sided ring gives a unique touch to things.

Recommended to all wrestling fans and those curious about where “sports
entertainment” is at today.
